We would like to invite you to the 8th International Symposium on Ultrafast Photonic Technologies (ISUPT2017).

ISUPT is intended to provide a forum for researchers and students working on ultrafast photonic technologies including ultrahigh-speed optical communication, optical metrology, lasers, bio-medical technology, and advanced measurement technologies.

Plenary speakers

  • Prof Tobias Kippenberg - EPFL, Switzerland
  • Dr Peter Winzer - Nokia Bell Laboratory, US

Invited speakers include:

  • Prof Ben Eggleton - The University of Sydney, Australia
  • Prof Franz Kartner - DESY Hamburg, Germany
  • Prof Christian Koos - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany
  • Prof Yutaka Miyamoto - NTT, Japan
  • Prof Masataka Nakazawa - Tohoku University, Japan
  • Prof Leif Katsuo Oxenlowe - Technical University of Denmark
  • Prof Stojan Radic - UC San Diego, US
  • Prof Siddarth Ramachadran - Boston University, US
  • Prof Sergei Turitsyn - Aston Institute of Photonics Technologies, UK
  • Prof Dimitra Simeonidou - University of Bristol, UK
  • Prof Frank Wise - Cornell University, US
  • Prof S.J. Ben Yoo - University of California, Davis

The latest advances in ultrafast photonics will be presented, with a particular emphasis on optical communications. Future directions for research and development will be discussed among leaders in the field. There will also be poster sessions for students and early-career researchers wishing to present their work during the course of the meeting. For full details of the event, visit www.ISUPT2017.co.uk
